Seasonal celebrations start at 9am on Saturday, November 24 at The Brewery Quarter with a beautiful Christmas Market.
Running all weekend until 5pm on Sunday, November 25, a festive range of arts and crafts, handmade goods, toys and treats for all the family, will inspire visitors with plenty of ideas to kick off their Christmas shopping in style.
Stalls will include a Cheltenham wood carver showcasing his finest garden ornaments, jewellery stands, handmade soaps, children’s toys, personalised stockings as well as a variety of Christmas gifts.
Demelsa Coleman, Marketing Manager for The Brewery Quarter, said: “We’re making this year’s Christmas lights switch on one to remember with a two day Christmas market, live music and entertainment and a visit from Father Christmas himself! It’s going to be absolutely fantastic.”
The Christmas Market, which takes place over two days, paves the way for the Christmas lights switch on party which kicks off at 4pm. Local entertainers Just Shut up and Dance will be showing off their slickest moves, followed by The Greatest of Shows performers singing songs from a number of hit musicals at 4.45pm and Gloucestershire’s favourite foursome, Tux Fizz at 5.45pm.
Bacon Theatre Panto stars from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves will take to the stage 6.20pm, ahead of the magical arrival of Father Christmas who is taking time out of his busy schedule to switch on The Brewery Quarter’s spectacular Christmas lights and welcome the start of the Christmas season.
As the dazzling lights come to life, Tux Fizz will bring the party to a close at 7pm.
